Summary of the alterations in bacterial community and expression profile in strain SCSIO 13291-treated coral samples that showed mitigated bleaching signs. We proposed that these responses could be results of nutrients supplied through inoculation of the bacterium (indirect mechanism) or metabolic activity of the added bacterium associating with the coral polyp (direct mechanism)
